Vintage Apache Young Woman’s Leather Ceremonial Top
This is a brain tanned deerskin leather “Ceremonial Shirt/Top” used by a young Apache woman in the 1930’s at her wedding ceremony.
The leather shirt is decorated with Beadwork, Silver and fringe. Bead colors are Red, Green, Yellow, White, Light Blue and Black. The silver is made from
pressed silver coins. The shirt opens on the sides with fringes on the sides and bottom. The leather shirt has a V-neck in the front and measures 26” long
with fringe 48”, theirs a 38” bust. Measurements from shoulder to shoulder are 23” and shoulder to waist is 22” in front. The back has a tie-string closure.
